ISLAMABAD – The Medical Commission of Pakistan announced on Wednesday that the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) will be held on November 13.
The notification issued by the commission said that the exams will be conducted on the same day and time by all the provinces and government universities in Islamabad.
The test was conducted by University of Medical and Health Sciences (Balochistan), University of Health Services (Punjab), Khyber Medical University (KPK), Dow University of Health Sciences (Sindh) and Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (Islamabad). will be taken through Azad Jammu and Kashmir Gilgit-Baltistan).

MDCAT pass percentage is 55% for MBBS admission and 45% for BDS. Further, FSC (Pre-Medical) or equivalent with 60% marks will be eligible to apply for admission to MBBS or BDS. The pass percentage will be applied probabilistically,” the notification read.

MDCAT will be a paper-based manual exam and the answer keys of the papers will be uploaded by the respective universities on the PMC website on the same day after the exam.
Additionally, MDCAT will also be held at two international centers namely UAE and Saudi Arabia. Aspirants from other countries can either change their centers to UAE and Saudi Arabia or come to Pakistan for the exam.
The online portal will remain open till 10 October 2022 for registration and change of center for foreign students.
Under uniform policy, MDCAT will be conducted at designated PMC center at local and international level. Internal centers will be established in Islamabad and all four provinces.
The minimum required percentage of marks to apply for MBBS admission has been reduced from 65 to 55% and for BDS admission has also been reduced from 55 to 45%. .
The entrance test results will be released 7 days after the organization of MDCAT 2022.
