Multan Sultans in PSL 2023

Multan Sultans is a professional T20 cricket franchise from Pakistan that plays in the Pakistan Super League (2023) PSL Cricket League. They are playing the tournament from its third season in 2018 and are also the champions of PSL 6. They represent the city of Multan and their home ground is the Multan Cricket Stadium.
The franchise saw many changes in ownership, with Shawn Properties passing to Alamgir Khan Tareen and Ali Khan Tareen, and then only to Alamgir Khan Tareen. Many former international cricketers are part of their management and coaching staff. Andy Flower is their head coach and Mushtaq Ahmed is their assistant and spin bowling coach. Shoaib Malik was their first captain and Muhammad Rizwan is their current captain.
History of ownership
The initial owners of the franchise were Shawn Properties as they bought it for 8 years after winning the contract out of 10 bidders. After the first season, the contract between the owners and the PCB was terminated as they failed to pay the annual fee required by the board. PCB took control. Soon after, a tender was passed to buy the franchise once again. Alamgir Khan Tareen and Ali Khan Tareen from Multan Consortium won the bid and the team was bought by them. In 2021, after three years, Alamgir Khan Tareen became the sole owner of the franchise.
Team identity and sponsors
The team’s logo and kit were revealed at an event held in September 2017. Their logo depicts the Saraiki culture of South Punjab wearing a traditional dress on a horse. The team’s two official colors are blue and sea green.

Lahore Qalandars is a professional T20 cricket franchise from Pakistan that plays in the Pakistan Super League PSL Cricket League. They have been playing the tournament since its first season in 2015 and were also the winners of PSL 7 2022. They represent the capital of Punjab and their home ground is Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
The Lahore Qalandars franchise currently owned by Rana Brothers is also the second most expensive PSL franchise after Multan Sultans. The current coach of Lahore Qalandars is Aqib who has been with the team since season 1. Shaheen Afridi is the captain of Lahore and also the youngest player to win the PSL title.
Fakhar Zaman is the highest run scorer for the team and Shaheen Afridi has taken the most wickets for the team.

History of ownership
Lahore Qalandars was bought for US$ 25.1 million by Kausar Rana Resources Private Limited Company, owned by the famous Rana brothers, Jawad Rana and Fawad Rana. It was the second most expensive purchase after Karachi Kings at that time.

The franchise was formally launched on 12 December 2015 by Fawad Rana. In Qalandars, the letter ‘Q’ was related to Qatar and Qalku. The name Qalandar itself represented the Sufi culture of Pakistan and Lahore. The logo was also designed with Sufism in mind, showing a beautiful blend of cricket and Sufism.

Peshawar Zalmi is a professional T20 cricket franchise from Pakistan that plays in the Pakistan Super League PSL Cricket League. They have been playing the tournament since its first season in 2015 and are also champions of PSL 3. They represent Peshawar, the capital city of KPK and their home ground is Arbab Niaz Stadium

They are also Pakistan’s largest sports franchise with a net worth of over US$40 million. Their current captain is Wahab Riaz and James Foster is the head coach.

The franchise was bought by Haier owner Javed Afridi for 16 million US dollars for 10 years. It was one of the earliest franchises of the PSL. Javed Afridi regularly invests good money in talent hunt programs and regular trials are organized by the franchise.

The team’s logo and kit were unveiled in December 2015 at a function held at APS Peshawar. The logo depicts the combination of a traditional turban with a cricket stump. His kit was changed in PSL 4 2019. The team’s primary colors are black and yellow. The word Zalmi is a Pashto word meaning youth.
Islamabad United in PSL Teams 2023

Islamabad United is a professional T20 cricket franchise from Pakistan that plays in the Pakistan Super League PSL Cricket League. They have been playing the tournament since its first season in 2015 and are also the first champions. They represent the capital of Pakistan and their home ground is Rawalpindi.
The entire franchise is owned by Leonion Global Investment LGI through its sports subsidiary Leonion Global Sports, currently owned by Amina Naqvi and Ali Naqvi. They have not seen any change of owner till date. The staff includes Azhar Mehmood as coach, Rehanul Haq as their general manager, Azlan Khan as head of operations and logistics, Hasan Cheema as strategy manager. Several former international cricketers like Johan Botha were also part of his coaching staff. Saeed Ajmal is his bowling coach.
Shadab Khan is their current and youngest captain, Luke Ronchi is the highest run-scorer while Shadab Khan is their highest run-getter.

Leonine Global Sports has owned the franchise since 2015, when it was sold to them for US$15 million.

The logo and name were unveiled on 22 December 2015 at an event held at the Islamabad Polo Club. The team’s logo features a lion that represents aggression. IU’s primary colors are red, orange and light brown which are also seen on their kit.

They were the bosses of PSL 2019.
